Specify a training-school PDR purchase from the curriculum and the number of learners who need to practise simultaneously. Separate individual station equipment from shared demonstration equipment, consumables, and replacement parts. A large kit count does not guarantee enough usable practice time or a consistent assessment setup.
Evaluate a fleet PDR pilot by recording which vehicles are eligible, which are actually repaired, whether the results meet agreed acceptance criteria, and how much total operational time the process requires. Keep rejected and deferred cases in the record. A high success rate calculated only from completed, easy repairs can misrepresent the value of the service to the fleet.
Validate PDR packaging as a complete packed product moving through a defined distribution route. Check how long rods, working tips, heavy components, small parts, and powered accessories are restrained and protected. An undamaged outer carton or a single informal drop does not prove that the kit inside will arrive complete and usable.
Plan consumables from measured usage and replenishment lead time, then add a justified buffer for uncertainty. Plan spare parts separately according to compatibility, failure consequences, replacement availability, and the installed equipment base. Do not use one fixed percentage of the kit price as a substitute for a parts plan.
Start a PDR tool support case by identifying the supplied configuration, separating safety concerns from ordinary performance questions, and recording observable symptoms. Use only approved user-level checks, preserve the evidence, and agree on the next action with the supplier. A disappointing repair result is not automatically proof of a defective tool, but customer error should not be assumed either.
Plan mobile PDR power by listing every device, matching each to an approved supply, and testing the expected work sequence. Separate instantaneous power demand from stored energy and measured usable runtime. A plug that fits or a battery with a large amp-hour label does not establish compatibility or a full working day of operation.
