This milestone was achieved two and a half years after the factory began producing Model Y.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:18px\">German media quoted Tesla Germany&#8217;s internal chat messages on September 25 as saying that the electric car maker celebrated the achievement by giving employees extra time off and hosting a pizza party. However, foreign media said that Tesla Berlin Gigafactory manager Andr\u00e9 Thierig was not necessarily very happy about this milestone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:18px\">While achieving production of 400,000 vehicles in two and a half years is satisfying, Thierig stressed that other German carmakers have recently encountered significant challenges.
