However, it should be noted that after entering 2024, Germany has cancelled the purchase subsidy for electric vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:18px\">Last month, Germany&#8217;s pure electric vehicle (BEV) sales were 29,708, a year-on-year decrease of 31%, with a market share of 12.6%; plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sales were 14,038, a year-on-year increase of 2%, with a market share of<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:18px\">As of the end of May, Germany&#8217;s cumulative electric vehicle sales in 2024 were 214,871, a year-on-year decrease of 7%, with a market share of 18.3%. Among them, BEV sales were 140,713, a year-on-year decrease of 16%, with a market share of 12%. PHEV sales were 74,158 units, up 17% year-on-year, with a market share of 6.3%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:18px\">In May, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW ranked in the top three in electric vehicle sales. In terms of BEV sales, Volkswagen ranked first with sales of 5,174 units.
