According to foreign media reports, a source from the union confirmed on November 8 that the media reported that the automobile manufacturer Stellandis will suspend production again in the Italian Mirafior factory, which has a long history. The factory is responsible for the production of the electric version of Fiat 500 and two Maserati models.

According to sources, due to the downturn in demand, the production base was suspended from mid -September to November 1st this year. Although the production has been restored last week, production will be discontinued again throughout December.

The source revealed that Stellandis has not yet officially notified the union’s move as usual, but considering the information provided by suppliers and other sources, the new discontinuation seems to be inevitable.

Earlier, Italian media reported that the factories of the Fiat 500 were re -started on November 4, and the daily output decreased to 170 vehicles. The report also said that the assembly line will be discontinued next month, and it is expected to “start after January 7”.

Mirafione is located in the northwest of the Fiat’s hometown of Turin. It is a huge industrial complex and most of them are currently idle. Trade sources said that the suspension in December will also involve Maserati sports cars with low sales volume.

According to the media, Stellandis has concentrated on the production of Fiat 500 in the next three months in November, and hopes that there can be some output in December, but the company has failed to do so due to the shortage of parts and components caused by supply problems.

Like other companies in the industry, Stellandis is also facing huge challenges, such as the downturn on high -priced electric vehicles and competition from China. In addition, Stellandis is still trying to deal with the inflation of the inventory of the US market, which has led to its decline in profit and cash flow expectations.
